Comeback from two sets down against Benfica
Bannister’s 34 points led Olympiacos to a 3–2 Challenge Cup win.
Olympiacos’s women staged a major comeback at Melina Merkouri on 27 October 2026. Two sets down against Benfica, they won 3–2 in the opening leg of the Challenge Cup round of 64.
Taylor Bannister finished with 34 points, Michaela Mlejnkova added 15 and Kiki Terzoglou scored 10 as Olympiacos improved after a difficult start.
Qualification remains open ahead of the return in Lisbon on 4 November. Another win sends Olympiacos through; a defeat would require a golden set.
