Olympiacos: Bartzokas confirms the search for a guard
The Olympiacos coach said the club will examine available options on the market following Montero’s absence, without announcing a specific player or agreement.
redlegend1925.comGiorgos Bartzokas outlined Olympiacos’ intention to seek backcourt reinforcements at the press conference after the win over Armani Milan. His comments concerned assessing available guards to fill the gap left by Jean Montero, whose estimated absence following surgery is six months.
Bartzokas stressed that the team needs another player in that position and that the club’s presidents are ready to help. He did not name a player or announce a completed agreement, while expressing hope that the search could progress quickly enough to avoid placing an excessive burden on the other guards.
He also expressed satisfaction with Codi Miller-McIntyre, Cory Joseph and Nikos Plotas. He underlined the importance of the point guard position in a demanding schedule and the need for the team to keep pursuing wins with the players available.
